Welcome!
Our Mission
This is a space where fosters or adopters can look for dogs who REALLY need help. Our mission is to help as many of these dogs as possible by taking them out of the kennels and preventing them from being passed over due to their poor kennel presence. By creating this club, we want to build connections and match potential fosters or adopters to a specific dog in the hope of minimizing the number of trips across the "rainbow bridge". Questions? Contact us at indigodogclub@gmail.com!

Who We Are?
We are a group of volunteers dedicated to rescuing shelter dogs experiencing kennel frustration. Some dogs just don't have the emotional tools to cope with being in the shelter. Over time, they develop kennel frustration and act out, which makes them less desirable to potential adopters and less available for enrichment as they transition from easiest handling level to the hardest, the pool of volunteers who can spend time with them diminishes, so their frustration worsens. Some of these dogs deteriorate further and wind up in the red zone which ultimately puts their lives at risk.
Why Indigo?
We created the Indigo Dog Club to catch these deteriorating dogs and take them out of the shelter by finding potential fosters or adopters. We share what makes these dogs special by focusing not only on details about their inner sweet doggie selves that will shine and blossom in a home but also on behavioral issues a foster/adopter would need to know to set them up for success!
Meo
3 years old, 49 lbs, female
- About me: Hi! I am Meo! I am back in the shelter (due to no fault of my own). I didn't do well in the shelter last year. I was vertical jumping and screaming. But, when my wonderful foster mom took my home, she found out what a sweet girl I truly was. I was even sweet to my feline roommate! Can you please foster me so I won't be stay in this scary place?

VideoCowboy
11 months old, 42 lbs, male
- About me: Cowboy is a young, curious pup who's ready for adventure! He's still learning about the world and is looking for a human companion to help him navigate! He's mostly good at walking on a leash but gets a little over excited sometimes (it's a big, exciting world out there!) and could work on some manners. Other dogs can also be a little over-stimulating so probably best if he's the only dog at home for now. He's medium-sized and fits perfectly on a couch after a day of exploring.
Need to overcome: Shelter living is really rough for a puppy like me. Please foster or adopt me! In return, I will be the best and cutest puppy you have ever met!
VideoDelaney
2 years old, 65 lbs, male
- About me: Dashing Delaney would love to meet you! He is a lover and a very laid back dog, who is quite the gentleman.
He enjoys spending his leisure time walking around the city and relaxing at breweries. He has excellent manners and when he is around other dogs in public spaces appears unfazed. He is also not bothered by squirrels or birds and is an excellent walker.
Please consider adopting or fostering him today and get ready for love, adventure, and gaining your new best friend!
Need to Overcome:
Kennel frustration due to lack of human interaction.
